Bike Description
The bike stolen is a Boardman Team CX. I bought this bike second hand through gumtree and provide the link to this for reference: https://www.gumtree.com/p/bicycles/sold-boardman-team-cx-bike-medium-very-good-condition/1321982594 The bike also had attached a number of accessories including: SKS mudguards, Cateye front and rear lights and a fizik saddle bag. I had swapped the saddle out for a fairly old and worn Selle Italia saddle and changed the tyres to a pair of Schwalbe Marathons.Theft Description
The bike was stolen from my home. It was locked with a Kryptonite D-lock to a metal loop on an external wall of the house. The metal loop has been cut and the bike removed. The bike was stored in the locked back yard of my house. The lock on the gate was not disturbed and so the bike has been taken over the fence. The fence is roughly two meters in height. There were three other bikes stored in this outside space, none of which were also taken. The bike was stolen in Meanwood, Leeds.Recovery Description
I reported the theft to the police and was able to identify the bike for sale on eBay. The police traced the eBay sale, which required a lengthy wait for a data access request. After this the bike was recovered.
